December 2 - At Sea

I have to admit, I'm finding this site challenging.  I had a great post written for today and lost it all. So I'm starting over. Flight was uneventful,  hotel stay was uneventful, boarding was a hot mess. We've departed from San Pedro many times and I've never seen the line like we had. CBP was slow to disembark the prior voyage. The last person didn't disembark until 1030 and they cannot start boarding until the ship is completely empty. To make matters worse, I couldn't find my Medallion. Oh I packed it but where oh where could it be. After standing in line for 45 minutes someone came by looking for people with Medallions to expedite their boarding. So Pat left me and expedited. He called about 10 minutes later and said, they would take care of me too, if I made my way up. So off I went with the next expiditer I came across. It took awhile as they had to get a new Medallion for me, then she forgot to keep my passport, so back she goes... but it was much better sitting in an air conditioner venue rather than standing outside in the hot sun. To make a long story short, I did find my Medallion, and I ended up with 2 and neither of them worked. Another trip to the dreaded guest services line to get that taken care of.  But all is working as expìected.

Some food pictures...

Breakfast

Part of it. Forgot to get pictures of the main course... a fruit place.

Miscellaneous

Our mini bar setup (for having Elite Statu

You can see I already popped one of the beers.
This is the room service door hanger menu. We very rarely do room service breakfast or anything.  Also I've posted the canapés we can order for formal night (yes, tonight is formal night). We never order these either. Nothing there I'd like.

LUNCH

I had the Cauliflower Bits and Cobb Salad and Pat had the Club.

Desserts

Blueberry Ice Cream and Cheesecake

Before Dinner Drinks

This one is for Sylvia!

Dinner

True confessions, I keep forgetting to take food pictures and then have to fix up my food to take a picture.
Pat had French Onion Soup

I had a small serving of the Gnocchi

We both had the Roast Beef. It was delicious.  Everything was very good.  We've found a great server, from the time we sat down until we left, it was less than an hour. Peter is our man. We've made reservations with him for each night at 6 pm.

This site the Champagne fountain they do on each cruise. In all the cruises we've done, we never go. Just walked by as it was in progress so snapped a couple of shots.

Entertainment

The first night there was a comedian - Carlos Oscar or something similar.  Pat didn't go, but I went, he was very good. Day 2 they had a production show - Encore. It was heavy on the Opera - not my thing, but guaging from the crowd response,  I guess it was good
They also had an enrichment lecture who spoke on Roman history.  I haven't gone to any trivia, game shows or karaoke.  And I don't do bingo.

I've had a few people ask about posting comments. I believe you have to subscribe to the blog to post.
